The major access work to Hamad Port has been completed by Ashghal, a report published in the April issue of the official in-house publication of Ashghal said. The2.7 km long project is a part of the first stretch of the more than 150 km long New Highway and Truck route that connects the port with Ras Laffan Industrial City.
The final block of the 970 segments of the bridge each weighing approximately 67 tonnes was installed recently. The multi-level interchange is around 57% complete and it is expected to be fully completed by the penultimate quarter of this year.
The Northern access to the Hamad Port will provide four lanes in each direction between Al Wakra and Mesaieed Industrial City. An additional four lanes in each direction to Mesaieed Road will be provided to ensure free flowing transit between Doha and Mesaieed.
