I’ve never real though about this when I travel but some people regard sexual activity while traveling as a way of enhancing their travel experience. In many countries around the world, prostitution is big business but most times is against the law, and those who practice and promote are punished severely.
Unfortunately, there are countries who, despite being illegal, rampantly practice prostitution. Here are the top 10 countries where sex tourism is really big.
# 10 Dominican Republic
Prostitution I legal here and one can expect to see legal brothels, massage parlours and prostitutes in many of the downtown areas such as the Puerto Plata province and Santo Domingo. The Dominican Republic also ranks fourth highest in the world among countries exporting large numbers of sex workers.
The number of tourists in Cambodia has doubled over the past years. In 2014, more than 4 million foreigners visited the Southeast Asian country, attracted by the temples of Angkor, tropical beaches—and some of them by cheap and readily available prostitutes.
Prostitution is against the law here and it is but as you can see it has little effect on the business.
#8 The Netherlands
Here prostitution is legal and regulated. Operating a brothel is also legal. Being a harbor city, Amsterdam has a long tradition of strong presence of prostitution.
