Preparations are on full swing to welcome the Ramadan and a new “one-stop shop” for people has made its way at Katara Cultural Village. The Meerat Ramadan market is located on the south end of Katara.
Around 35 vendors will be selling fresh produce, dates, nuts, honey, drinks, gifts and other popular tems. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim al Sulati, Katara’s General Manager, said: “It is a one-stop place where visitors are welcome to enjoy a distinctive ambiance that combines the experience of shopping with spirituality.”
As of now the market will be open from 4pm to 9pm, once the holy month begins the period of hours will be increased.
