A man in Honduras was in shock when he heard his wife scream from her tomb, yes, you got that right, Neyzi Perez, a 24 year-old girl was screaming from her tomb 24 hours after she was buried.
Perez had apparently lost her conscious when she woke up at night and heard a gunfire, while she was in the bathroom. Her parents saw her in the morning with foam coming out of her mouth due to which they believed she was attacked by an evil spirit.
A local priest was then called to treat her but her relatives claimed that she was no more and when she was taken to the hospital she was declared “clinically dead.”
She was carrying baby during that time and she was 3 months pregnant with Rudy Gonzalez’s baby. The relatives buried her after she was declared dead at the La Entrada General Cemetery. However, 24 hours later, Gonzales said that he heard her screaming and banging from the coffin.
He said in an interview, “As I put my hand on her grave I could hear noises inside. I heard banging, and then I heard her voice.”
He continued, “She was screaming for help. It had already been a day since we buried her. I couldn’t believe it. I was ecstatic, full of hope.”
Gravedigger Jesus Villanueva also claimed that he heard noises coming from Perez’s coffin. “I convinced myself that the screams were coming from somewhere else. I never imagined that there was someone alive in there,” Villanueva said.
“That afternoon the girl’s husband came to me, begging me to get her out because she was alive. He was hysterical. The family were soon here and started breaking through the tomb, shouting her name,” he added.
