Ashghal – The Public Works Authority will open a 2.5 km stretch of new permanent road with three flyovers along the Mesaieed Road as a part of the Al Wakra Bypass Project in the South of Qatar. The existing diversion of Mesaieed Road will be shifted on to the new section of road which has two lanes in each direction.
The shifting will take place in phases with the coordination of the Traffic Police Department with southbound traffic towards Mesaieed Road on Wednesday 24 May 2017, followed by northbound traffic towards Al Wakra on Sunday 28 May 2017.
Road users are asked to abide by the 50 kph speed limit and follow the newly implemented traffic road signs to ensure safety.
The completion of the entire Al Wakra Bypass Project will allow direct access to G Ring Road, connecting to the New Orbital Highway and Truck Route and the F Ring Road towards Hamad International Airport and Doha.
