Molly Hill was supposed to have a romantic trip with her American boyfriend in Hawaii but destiny landed her in a jail for a silly mistake. She visited Honolulu with her new found friend Ross Maidl to have a romantic date but ended up being stripped search on her birthday.

The American immigration officials locked her up after reading her diary. She was on a 90-day tourist visa but the immigration officials thought she had plans for staying more than that.

‘They were convinced I wanted to immigrate illegally because my diary had notes like ‘going away drinks’ and ‘last day at work’, things I got in order before expecting to be away for three months,’ she wrote on Facebook.

She was handcuffed and locked up in a federal prison.

‘I was told there were no more flights to Australia that day and I would have to spend the night at the detention center, which the officer described as ‘like jail but you can’t make any phone calls’,’ she said.

‘I was frisked, made to undress in front of an officer and show that there was nothing in my hair or mouth, and asked to ‘squat and cough’ which was absolutely mortifying.’ She added.

After couple of hours behind bars she was asked to remove all her jewellery and list her tattoos to make sure they were not gang related. She spent the night in jail and spent her birthday handcuffed. She was then escorted to the airport for an 11-over flight.

‘I remained in handcuffs and was escorted throughout the airport. Then I was finally allowed to call home, and had to pay $620 for a flight to Sydney,’ she said.

‘It’s been a surreal few days that’s taken a big chunk of money, heartache and tears.’

She has called on the media to write a piece against U.S. President Donald Trump.

‘If anyone knows of a good immigration lawyer please hit me up. Or if you’re a journalist let’s write an anti-Trump piece,’ she said.

The experience costed her $2000 for absolutely nothing. The incident occurred only weeks after Canberra-raised personal trainer Baxter Reid was detained after overstaying his US visa by 90 minutes.

But, Molly Hill’s story did have a happy ending as her boyfriend visited her after all the chaos and they were seen hugging each other at the Melbourne Airport.

She then posted this one her Facebook account:

Whatever  the case might be lets hope that all this doesn’t disturb their relationship.
