HMC (Hamad Medical Corporation) has asked public to take care of themselves following the forecast of Met department which has indicated windy weather in the coming days.
Strong winds can cause hazy conditions and some health problems across the country. It asked people who are prone to respiratory infections, people with the history of asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, heart disease and those who work on fields outside to be more cautious.
Dust can carry tiny particles in the air which can get past through the lungs and natural defences and damage lung tissues and can result in heart disease too. Avoid going out during high winds or low visibility.
People who are out are advised to cover their nose and mouth with a mask to stop the tiny particles entering into them. Using air conditioning in car is recommended than the natural breeze.
