The Manchester suicide bomber’s sister has spoken out, giving a possible motive for why her 22-year-old brother killed 22 innocent people with an attack at Manchester Arena on Monday night.

Salman Abedi’s sister revealed the reason why, scroll down to know.

Jomana Abedi, 18, said that her brother Salman wanted ‘revenge’ for the death of Muslim children in the Middle East. Jomana said that her brother was angry at ‘explosives America drops on children in Syria’.

She told the Wall Street Journal:

I think he saw children – Muslim children – dying everywhere, and wanted revenge.

He saw the explosives America drops on children in Syria, and he wanted revenge. Whether he got that is between him and God.

However, a friend of Abedi revealed that the attack was revenge for the murder of their friend in Manchester last year.

Abdul Wahab Hafidah was run over and stabbed in a suspected gang attack last May and Abedi ‘vowed revenge’ at the funeral.

Abedi detonated an explosive that had bolts and nails, near the box office exit of the arena as fans were leaving at about 10.30 pm.

Abedi’s family has obviously come under heavy inspection after the horrifying attack.

His father, Ramadan, was arrested in Tripoli amid allegations he was a member of the Libyan Islamic Fighting group in the 1990s, according to former Libyan security official, Abdel-Basit Haroun, reports The Telegraph.

Abedi’s younger brother Hashim was also arrested in Tripoli.
