The maximum temperature touched 47C yesterday and it is expected to stay the same in the coming days. Doha is likely to experience the maximum heat today with 45C. Met department has also forecasted stronger windy conditions until the weekend.
People have been asked to stay safe and avoid venturing into the sea during the period and also exposure to direct sunlight is not recommended. The Met department there will be northwesterly windy conditions, especially on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The speed of the wind is expected to be 18-30 knots, with gusts up to 35-45 knots at times during the daytime. The wave height might reach up to 8-12 feet, while the visibility can drop below 2km.
The winds become calm by night and regain strength by sunrise. Along with Doha, Mesaieed and Wakrah can witness temperature as high as 47C, followed by Al Khor with 43C.
Dusty conditions in a few places has been forecasted and the Met department has urged people to follow the latest weather updates through its official social media accounts.
