Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had said that White House adviser Jared Kushner ‘in his pocket’ when the two met earlier in October in Riyadh.

Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Trump and also the White House senior advisor paid an unannounced visit to Saudi last year. The details of the meeting have been kept in the dark. However, the sources claim that the Saudi leader bragged to Emirati Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed about having Kushner ‘in his pocket.’

The meeting reportedly charted out plans for developing relationship between Kushner and Saudi and Emirati crown princes. Apparently, Kushner is in direct touch with the Gulf leaders using WhatsApp.

“Without commenting on who he talks with and how he does his work, Mr. Kushner is in conformity with the Presidential Records Act and other rules,” a spokesperson for his attorney said.

Kushner have been warned by the attorney’s who have asked him to avoid using the app for official business.

Kushner went to Saudi with knowledge of the president’s daily brief. Without Trump’s permission to disclose the information, Kushner could have violated federal laws pertaining to sharing classified intelligence.

Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, before he was fired earlier this month, and national security adviser H.R. McMaster had reportedly raised concerns about Kushner’s foreign policy ventures. “Who is the secretary of state here?” Tillerson allegedly once said to staff, according to the Washington Post.
