Parents always lay out a path for their children and it is very important for the grown ups to show them the right way. It is not a bad thing to let children take risks and be adventurous. But doing it for your fame and desire is just not acceptable.

Redha Rozlan, a father of a 2-year-old in Malaysia was slammed by people for performing a bungee jump while carrying his daughter in his arms.

The fact that he was a reality star made matters worse when he decided to take his daughter for a ‘ride’. He hugged his daughter then patted her back before waiting for the countdown.

The toddler, Mecca Mikaela, held her had tightly as they dropped below. Once the video was uploaded on social media, the parents were criticized for their irresponsible behaviour.

However, Rozlan defended himself and said that his daughter had proper safety gears on. He also wrote: “Chill, guys. Don’t try with your kids if your kids (are) not ready for this.”

He also explained that it was actually his daughter who wanted to do it and he never asked her to be a part of the stunt. But, the argument was not well received as child rights lawyer, Goh Siu Lin, said that Mikaela’s parents “lacked proper parental judgement” for allowing her to perform the extreme stunt.

“Rope spring jump is an extreme sport and dangerous and there is a high likelihood of the motions in such an activity causing physical injury to her. I have never heard of any child of that age being allowed to participate in such extreme sports.”

Rozlan and the company that operated the bungee jump could be charged for putting the child’s life in danger.
