Here’s How Passengers On American Airlines Were Bracing For Impact During Emergency Landing
An American Airlines was forced to make an emergency landing at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport after a reported fan problem onboard sent an odor of smoke through the cockpit and passenger cabin.
A clip recorded by a passenger Steve Ramsthel showed a flight attendant alerting passengers saying: “You will need to be seated in a brace position for landing.”
Then flight staff can be heard screaming for passengers to “brace” and to “grab your ankles and keep your heads down” when the aircraft lands.
Ramsthel said that he was impressed with the calmness showed by the passengers on the plane.
