9 YO Boy Makes A Staggering $6,000 In Just Two Hours For His Baby Brother; All Just By Running A Lemonade Stand
Andrew Emery of South Carolina went viral not just for making a whopping sum, but also because of his great heart. The reason he started the stand was to chip in for the medical expenses for his younger brother Dylan’s treatment, who is suffering from a rare and deadly type of neurological condition.
He set up his lemonade stand in Greenwood and sold lemonade and shirts for his little brother. Surprisingly, he was able to make nearly $6,000 in just two hours. In total he accumulated $5,860, which will then be added to the $1,300 raised from a benefit concert and the $5,600 they have from GoFundMe.
“I’m gonna spend it on doctor’s bills and stuff and buy him a teddy bear too.” Said Andrew. He added: “I just want to help Dylan. He’s my baby brother.”
Andrew always loved to have a little brother and was over the moon when his parents told him they were expecting.
“I wanted her to have a boy. There’s too many girls at home,” said the 9-year-old, who stays in touch with his brother via Facetime. Currently, Dylan is confined at a Pittsburgh hospital because of Krabbe disease.
He has plans to do one thing once the baby finally comes home and that is to hug him. The family has invited everyone to support Dylan. If you are willing to support in any way, you can check out the Team Dyaln Facebook page and get in touch with them.
